Entry is permitted subject to compliance with the UAE's entry requirements:
- employees of diplomatic missions accredited in the UAE and their families;
- Ukrainian citizens who have a residence permit (resident visa) in the UAE;
- Ukrainian citizens who intend to visit the UAE for the tourist purpose of a trip.
According to the current procedure, the following requirements for entering the country apply:
All passengers traveling to Dubai must provide at check-in for the flight at the airport of departure:
- An international health insurance policy confirming the coverage of the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19 and stay in isolation in the UAE;
- A completed in English and mandatory printed certificate (Сertificate polymerase chain reaction (PCR) swab test), which confirms negative test results for COVID-19.
This Certificate must be issued no more than 72 hours before arrival in the UAE and must be provided only by medical institutions accredited in Ukraine. This requirement does not apply to children under 12 years of age and passengers with moderate or severe disabilities.
Please note that in the absence of this Certificate or insurance policy, the airline may refuse to transport the passenger.
It should also be remembered that airlines have the right to refuse check-in for passengers who show symptoms of COVID-19.
Upon arrival in Dubai, you must pass another test for COVID-19, which is done directly at the airport, as well as download the "COVID-19 DXB" application and register in it for possible communication with the UAE health authorities in the future. The result of this test will be sent by SMS within 24 hours. Until the test result is received, you must be in self-isolation in a hotel or other place of residence.
Persons who test positive for coronavirus, as well as those (family / group of tourists) who came into contact with a person who tested positive for coronavirus, will be isolated for 10 days in institutions designated by the Emirates at their own expense.
Travelers must strictly adhere to physical distancing rules in line with measures that are performed at airports and use face masks all the time. All passengers must strictly adhere safety precautions and monitor for COVID-19 symptoms.
Since July 31, 2021, Ukraine has been included in the green list countries - quarantine upon arrival in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi from Ukraine is not required (https://visitabudhabi.ae/en/plan-your-trip/covid-safe-travel/permitted-countries)
For arrival in Abu Dhabi, as well as in order to confirm the vaccination produced in Ukraine for the UAE, preliminary (before departure) registration is required at https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/registerArrivals
The same site contains a list of vaccines that are recognized in the UAE: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V
