From October 4, 2021, the traffic light system in the UK has been canceled and a single Red List of countries and simplified requirements for travelers from other countries have been introduced, subject to full vaccination status, which is recognized in the UK:
- vaccination in accordance with the approved vaccination program in the UK, USA or EU countries, as well as Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland, Vatican.
- vaccination with a full course of vaccines Oxford / AstraZeneca, AstraZeneca Covishield, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna or Janssen of the relevant health authority in Ukraine, Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, Dominica, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan or the United Arab Emirates.
In this case, you must complete the full course of vaccination at least 14 days before arrival in England. You must have a digital or paper confirmation of the health authority on the completion of the full course of vaccination, which must include information: name and surname; Date of Birth; vaccine manufacturer; date of vaccination for each dose country or territory where the vaccination certificate was issued.
Details of these rules are updated on the government website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-amber-and-green-list-rules-for-entering-england
If you are fully vaccinated, before traveling to England you must:
- book and pay for the test, which must be taken on the 2nd day after arrival in England - https://www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider
- fill out the passenger search form 48 hours before arrival in England - https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk.
You will need to enter the booked test number in the passenger search form.
After arriving in England, you must be tested for COVID-19 no later than the second day.
If you are in England for less than 2 days, you will still need to book and pay for the COVID-19 test. You will only need to take the test if you are still in England on your second day.
From October 4, 2021, travelers from countries that do not belong to the "Red List" and do not meet the specified requirements for full vaccination status must:
- provide a negative test result for COVID-19 (PCR test, LAMP, antigen), made no more than 72 hours before crossing the border of the WB;
- book and pay before arriving in the country for passing tests for COVID-19 on days 2 and 8 of self-isolation;
- fill out the online contact information form, the address of the self-isolation site and the booking numbers for COVID-19 tests before arriving in the UK - https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk.
- stay in a certain place of self-isolation for 10 days and pass COVID-19 tests on a paid basis on days 2 and 8 of self-isolation upon arrival in England. Persons arriving in England can, after 5 days of self-isolation, undergo a COVID-19 test and, in case of a negative result, are exempted from the requirement for further self-isolation. This test is carried out on a paid basis, it is proposed to book a time for the test with an official service provider (private test provider) before arriving in England. This test does NOT exempt you from having to do tests on the 2nd and 8th day of your stay in the UK. Receiving a negative test result will release you from quarantine, but the requirement to take another test on the 8th day upon arrival remains.
Tests are not required from children under 11 years of age.
The "Red List" - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-list-of-countries-and-territories - as of October 15, 2021, Ukraine is not in it.

For information on the standards that this test must meet, see this government website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england#information-that-the -test-result-must-include
