The application process
1. An employer must obtain a corporate employment license before a foreign national can apply for a work permit in Uzbekistan. This license usually lasts from six to twelve months and allows the employer to hire a certain number of foreign nationals.
2. The company must also demonstrate why it needs to hire a foreign employee. To do this, it is necessary to research the Uzbek labor market to determine whether there are qualified candidates who can fill the position. Once the company determines the need to hire a foreign worker, the potential employee can begin the visa application process.
