A mountain vacation in Europe doesn't have to be expensive, as there are a huge number of ski resorts in Europe to suit all tastes and budgets. Find out more about the best budget European resorts where you can have a great time this winter
Ski resorts in Europe do not have a single pricing policy, so everyone can find a vacation that suits their budget. However, during peak seasons, most resorts significantly increase prices for hotels and restaurants, as well as for lift tickets for snowboarding and skiing.
So, which ski resorts have the lowest prices and where to spend your winter vacation this year, we will tell you in the article below.
Bulgaria: Bansko and Borovets
These are two ski resorts in Bulgaria where you can relax on a budget even during the peak season (December through April). Ski passes for a week here will cost about 200 euros. And the cost of budget accommodation for a week is from 300 to 600 euros (with meals).
Bansko ski resort
Both resorts are located at an altitude of about 2500 thousand meters above sea level and have good infrastructure, many trails of different difficulty levels and offer many additional entertainment options. At the same time, Bansko is a relatively new resort that has managed to win over winter vacationers from all over the world.
Slovakia: Jasna (Jasná Nízke Tatry)
Jasna is the largest ski resort in Slovakia, located at an altitude of just over 2000 meters above sea level. It is rightfully called one of the best in Eastern Europe, but the prices here remain affordable. Here you can buy both very budget ski-passes for ~150 euros per week and more expensive ones - from 270 euros, which include free skiing at night. The season here lasts from December to April, and both beginners and professionals can go skiing, as the resort offers trails of different difficulty levels. Accommodation, compared to the resorts of Bulgaria, will cost tourists a little more, on average - 100 euros per night in a double room.
