Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic who find themselves in a difficult situation can receive emergency assistance from the Czech government. The application form is now available in Ukrainian, proukrainu.blesk.cz reports.

Emergency medical aid (mimořádná okamžitá pomoc): details

It is noted that this financial support is provided only once and is intended to overcome sudden situations when there is an immediate danger of losing housing.

How to apply for the funds?

An application for emergency payment can be submitted at the local office of the "government of labor" at the place of residence or online through the identification of a citizen provided, for example, by a bank ID.

Please note! Although the form is in Ukrainian, the basic information must be filled in in Czech.

It is important to note that the assistance is not paid immediately after the person submits the application, but rather is verified and then paid.

Emergency assistance is not intended to cover regular foreseeable expenses, but only to overcome sudden situations related to the threat of losing one's home. In order to receive this assistance, a person must submit an application and provide the necessary documents, including income statements from both the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

After submitting the application, the situation is checked and assessed, and the emergency assistance may be paid if the person has already exhausted humanitarian assistance or is considered vulnerable.

The amount of the payment is not regulated and depends on the personal situation of each person.

Please note! To ensure a safe stay abroad, you should take care of reliable health insurance in advance, which will not only help you maintain your health, but also protect you from unforeseen expenses. You can take out an insurance policy that covers emergency medical care in case of illnesses and accidents, as well as inpatient and outpatient care around the world on the Visit Ukraine website. In addition, on our portal, you can immediately apply for car insurance - the Green Card, which is mandatory in 50 countries, including the EU.

As a reminder, the Czech Republic has taken decisive measures to improve living conditions for Ukrainian refugees by doubling housing payments from the beginning of 2024. These changes apply to Ukrainians who are under temporary protection in the country. Find out more about the amount of payments according to the innovations.
