The Netherlands is launching an integration programme for Ukrainian doctors. This will allow Ukrainian doctors to become part of the Dutch medical system.


What does the programme consist of?


The programme includes language courses, introduction to the culture and practice of Dutch medicine, as well as meetings with potential employers.


The course will last up to six months. The programme is designed to help prepare you for further study or work in the healthcare sector. The focus is on improving your language skills to B2 and learning specialised medical terminology.


Who can participate and when does the programme start?


Yes, to participate in the programme, participants must:


▪️ be refugees or displaced persons with a residence permit (e.g. Ukrainian refugees);

▪️ have experience or education in the medical field

▪️ reside in the region of Utrecht;

▪️ know Dutch at B1 level;

▪️ have a police clearance certificate (VOG).


The programme will start on 7 January 2025 in cooperation with three leading hospitals in the Utrecht region.


Participants will receive a certificate of participation in the programme, including confirmation of language skills improvement.


The programme will be available for Ukrainians absolutely free of charge.

4. Nuffic diploma rating, if you have one.

We remind you! The Dutch government has announced new rules for the registration of Ukrainian vehicles. They provide for obtaining local licence plates by March 2025.
