A new opinion poll has been conducted in Ukraine to find out how many citizens support territorial concessions to reach peace agreements. The results of the survey are published by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

The survey was conducted in September and October this year.

How many Ukrainians are ready for territorial concessions?

As of October, the share of Ukrainians who are ready for territorial concessions has increased to 32%. At the same time, 58% of Ukrainian citizens oppose any concessions to the russian federation.

According to the survey, after May 2023, there was a gradual increase in the share of those who were ready for territorial concessions. Thus, by the end of 2023, the readiness for concessions increased to 19%, in February 2024 - to 26%, and in May 2024 - to 32%.

Sociologists note that between May and early October 2024, the situation did not actually change, but now 32% of citizens are ready for territorial concessions to russia.

Which category of citizens is ready to accept territorial losses?

According to the survey, the highest readiness for concessions is among those who both distrust the president and believe that the West wants an unfair peace from Ukraine (56% are ready for concessions, 38% are strongly against).

At the same time, those who retain both trust in the President and trust in the West are the least ready to make concessions. Among them, 69% are categorically against concessions (against 24% who are ready for territorial concessions).

We remind you! Earlier, a poll was conducted in Ukraine on the readiness of citizens for peace talks with russia. Recent sociology shows that many citizens want to end the war as soon as possible.
