Tour start dates: September 25, October 9

Program:

7:30 - departure from Dnipro from the railway station by tourist bus;

9:15-9:30 - Arrival at the Rubaniv Church. On the way, the guide will tell the most interesting story about the first settlers, how the widow of the court centurion Ivan Vasylenko, Kateryna Vasylenko, built the Red Church in the mid-19th century (1850s), and then, after visiting Jerusalem, began building a convent. She soon left the worldly life and became a nun, becoming abbess in 1906. Today, the Znamenskyi Monastery still rises above the village and the pond, glorifying God and impressing with its grandeur, tranquility, and bell ringing.

We will also learn about the local "kobzar" Ivan Manzhur, his difficult life, and hear the legend of Tremsin the Bogatyr.

How will we spend our time? Everyone is free to choose, at their own discretion.

9:00-11:00 - the service is held. Afterward, Father Vasyl leads interesting spiritual conversations. Those who wish can have a modest but tasty lunch in the refectory.

From 10:00 am, the Ivan Manzhura Estate Museum is open: an old thatched house with ethnographic items of the time, a barn, and a farmstead. Animals are waiting for you in their zoo corner, swans and ducks on the lake will not mind if you treat them to something tasty.

Walking through the alleys of the autumn park, you can reach the stairs that will take you down to a mysterious stone grotto with a spring that flows into a small pond at the bottom of the grotto. Here you can sit and enjoy the untouched silence, and draw water from the spring. The trail will lead you out of the park and there are many picturesque places along the lake where you can lay a mat and have a picnic. Or you can eat your food at any bench if you don't go to the refectory.

Also, don't forget to visit the literary shop and think about eternity near the graves. And, of course, you can buy honey, propolis, pies, and other simple rural products at the market near the temple complex.

13:00 - transfer to the village of Znamenivka (15 minutes on the way). Visit to the Znamenivka Monastery. Usually, the nuns are happy to introduce visitors to the monastery and its history, icons, and iconostasis. The grounds are very well maintained, with lots of flowers and greenery, as well as vegetable gardens and raspberry patch - the monastery residents grow their own food. You can take a walk to the local pond with Shevchenko's willows bending their branches over the water.

14:15 - departure. Approximate arrival in Dnipro: 16:00-16:15.
