russia is trying to passport the Ukrainian population in the occupied territories as soon as possible. But these documents are considered fake and have no effect in the civilized world.

Does the EU recognize documents issued by russia to citizens in the occupied territories?

The leaders of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU report that neither a passport nor any other document issued by Russia in the illegally occupied territories of Ukraine and Georgia will be considered valid in the countries of the European Union. But the deputies emphasize: every person who has humanitarian considerations has the right to receive asylum in the EU.

Is it possible to get a Schengen visa with a russian passport obtained in the occupied territories?

The European Union does not recognize fake documents that russia distributes in illegally occupied territories. Therefore, Schengen visas will not be issued to citizens who received a russian foreign passport in the territories of the so-called DPR and LPR, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

This rule also applies to citizens with documents illegally issued in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

We will remind you! For citizens of Ukraine deported to the Russian Federation, the return home will be simplified and accelerated. For this purpose, the Ministry of Reintegration together with the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Migration Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduced an experimental project that will last for a year.
