Rental housing: how to support Ukraine and Ukrainians during the war
It is also possible to support Ukrainians in this difficult time in the tourism field. Thus, the rental service Airbnb not only ceased operations in Russia and Belarus. Brooklyn influencer Tommy Marcus has come up with another way - to rent housing from Ukrainians.
Of course, people don’t plan to travel to Ukraine at this time, but the money that homeowners in Ukraine will receive, will help them rebuild their homes and go through difficult times.
Hundreds of people from all over the world have already joined the action. They are booking housing in Irpin, Vasilkov and other affected towns and villages. As of March 4, Airbnb already lists more than 300 leased facilities throughout Ukraine.
Airbnb itself has supported such an initiative to provide financial support to people in Ukraine. They have waived any fees associated with these bookings
