Minimum wage increase in Poland: details

Since the beginning of 2023, the minimum wage in Poland has increased by almost PLN 600. The first revision of the minimum wage was in January - from PLN 3,010 to PLN 3,490 gross. After deduction of taxes, this means approximately PLN 2,783 (25.3 thousand hryvnias) per person.

For those employed under an assignment agreement, the minimum rate per hour has increased to PLN 23.50 gross (210 hryvnias). That is, depending on the number of hours worked per month, the salary will be 4,700–5,857 zlotys (approximately 42.6–53.2 thousand hryvnias).

Jobs for Ukrainians without knowledge of Polish: vacancies

Today, most vacancies for Ukrainian citizens who do not know Polish in the field of logistics are in warehouses of food and clothing, where parcels need to be packed. The average salary for such a position varies from 5,500 to 6,800 zlotys (49.8 to 61.6 thousand hryvnias).

Such vacancies are available all over Poland, but the most demanding are in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (centered in Warsaw), the Primorskie Voivodeship (Gdansk), the Greater Poland Voivodeship (Poznan), and the Mazovian Voivodeship (Warsaw).

Ukrainians can also find vacancies in the processing and food industries (production of sausages and other meat products, egg packaging, etc.). In particular, enterprises in the Greater Poland Region are in need of workers. In addition, in the Pomeranian region (centered in Gdańsk), there is a shortage of workers in fish processing enterprises.

In the voivodeships with centers in Wrocław and Katowice, which are located on the borders with Germany and Slovakia, they are currently looking for employees for enterprises engaged in mechanical engineering.

Remote work vacancies in Poland: where else can Ukrainians find work?

As we reported earlier, Poland has faced a shortage of personnel, and therefore one of the most sought-after positions in the Polish labor market is now a recruiter (a specialist who searches for and attracts personnel).

An undoubted advantage is that the work of a recruiter does not require physical presence, and therefore you can get a job from anywhere in the world, even from Ukraine. Moreover, recruiting can be used as a supplemental income, not the main source of income.

The salary level for such a vacancy varies from 1,000 to 50,000 zlotys (from 9 to 453 thousand hryvnias). In addition, recruitment agencies looking for employees are ready to train candidates at their own expense and offer various bonus systems.
