Women's compartments and the new rules of Ukrzaliznytsia: why are women asked not to spice things up?
Ukrzaliznytsia's new instructions on the rules of behavior in women's compartments apply not only to prohibitions for men but also to women's clothing. Find out what the carrier offers and prohibits for female train passengers
Since the launch of Ukrzaliznytsia's women's compartment program, more than 8,000 women have used the service. UZ representatives told UNIAN that the compartments are in demand among female passengers, and usually more than 90% of tickets are booked 20 days before the train departure.
Trains with women's compartments
Women's compartments are most popular on trains running between Dnipro and Truskavets (№41/42). Women's compartments are also currently available on trains №81 Kyiv - Uzhhorod, №15 Kharkiv - Yasinia, and №75 Kyiv - Kryvyi Rih.
But what does this have to do with spicy videos, perfume dousing, and burning cars? We will tell you further in the article.

New rules for staying in women's compartments from Ukrzaliznytsia
According to the Center for Transportation Strategies, Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced new rules of behavior in women's compartments. The new instructions are posted on special posters in the cars. The rules apply not only to men but also to women.
In particular, women are asked to refrain from "pouring perfume", smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. Instead, female passengers are offered to use the online library and tea menu, enjoying a safe and comfortable trip.
Ukrzaliznytsia also notes that it appreciates the desire of women to create a cozy atmosphere, but asks them not to light candles in the compartment, because "we are afraid that a cozy burning train will not please other passengers."
In addition, UZ reminded that video surveillance is conducted in the common areas of the cars for security reasons, and therefore women are asked to dress before leaving the compartment so as not to "add spice to these videos."
Two other rules apply to men, in particular, UZ reminded that men can enter the carriage (this applies to passengers of other cars, escorts, railway workers and security guards), but are not allowed to enter the compartment itself in order to "respect the right to personal space of your neighbors."
The last rule, No. 6, calls on passengers to report violators and those who "interfere with the pleasure of the trip" through the Ukrzaliznytsia app, the Telegram chatbot, or by calling 0 800 503 111.
We remind you! Ryanair has launched a long-term sale of tickets for flights to Europe and Israel. Read more about how much the trip will cost and which countries you can fly to cheaply for the winter holidays in our previous article.
