The Lithuanian Department of Migration has scheduled the start of the process of exchanging digital residence permits for refugees from Ukraine for the end of November. This was reported by LRT.

Residence permit exchange in Lithuania: details

It is noted that Ukrainian refugees who hold a digital temporary residence permit in Lithuania issued on the basis of temporary protection have received notifications of the approaching expiration date of these documents.

Please note that such notifications are generated automatically and Ukrainians who have received them do not need to make an appointment at the customer service offices.

The digital residence permit, introduced in January this year, is valid until March 4, 2024. However, due to the European Union's decision to extend temporary protection for people fleeing the war in Ukraine for at least one more year, the Department of Migration plans to start replacing it in late November.

The new permits for Ukrainian refugees will be valid until March 4, 2025.
