Unfortunately, millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes and flee Ukraine in search of safe haven. Some of them have already returned, but more than 4 million people are still forced to live abroad. At the same time, a large number of European countries are welcoming refugees from Ukraine and offering good living and working conditions.

We will tell you in the article below with reference to RBK-Ukraine which countries are the easiest to settle in for a Ukrainian with refugee status.

Top countries with the best conditions for Ukrainian refugees

Despite the fact that a large number of Ukrainians currently live in Poland, in part due to convenient transportation, a similar mentality and a high level of support, many other countries offer good conditions and benefits for Ukrainian refugees.

Please note! If you are interested in the current rules for entering a particular country and the documents required for this, we recommend using a special form on the Visit Ukraine website. Great Britain

According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainians can also often be found in Britain, but it is not as easy to get here as in an EU country, because you need to find a British sponsor who will be willing to provide Ukrainians with asylum.

However, it should be borne in mind that sponsorship can be terminated unilaterally at any time.

However, the UK pays 422 euros for adults and 361 euros for children.

Germany and Switzerland

Germany offers Ukrainians free accommodation and meals and pays about 420 euros per child and 502 euros per adult.

In Switzerland, the living and food conditions are similar, but Ukrainians are paid 520 euros. At the same time, the government plans to introduce an additional monetary incentive for Ukrainians who intend to return to Ukraine.

Norway

Norway also provides Ukrainians with free housing and special payments: EUR 650 per adult and EUR 360 per child. At the same time, the country pays an additional 1500 euros to Ukrainians who decide to return home.

In addition, Ukrainians attending special language courses in Norway can receive an additional 1400 euros.

Ireland

Ireland provides Ukrainians with free housing and payments of 800 euros. However, it has recently become known that the country may significantly reduce support for Ukrainians and deprive them of housing.

Denmark

Denmark also provides free housing for Ukrainians, and the amount of payments depends on whether the family has children. Thus, one adult can count on payments of 800 euros, and a mother with a child - on the amount of 1700 euros. However, it should be borne in mind that income tax is deducted from this amount.

France

France does not provide free housing for Ukrainians, but the country partially compensates for the cost of rent. At the same time, the amount of payments depends on the number of people in the family. For example, a mother and child will receive 306 euros per month, and a family of 4 - 520 euros per month.

We remind you! Before traveling abroad by car, you need to take into account several important details related to documents and insurance. Read what you need to have to leave Ukraine and what coverage is provided under the Green Card insurance policy here.
