Four countries in 15 hours: what is known about the new night train in Europe

On the evening of March 25, 2024, a new 15-hour night train from the European Sleeper company "Brussels - Prague" made its first trip.  The train departed from the Belgian capital and headed to the Czech capital. The travel time was 15.5 hours.

The route of the new night train covers four capitals: Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Belgium. The train passes through such cities as Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Berlin and Dresden.

Passengers can travel three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from Brussels, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from Prague.

Ticket prices start at 129 euros, and you'll have to pay 219 euros for a berth.

Elmer Van Buren, co-founder of European Sleeper, notes that the train is a great alternative to air travel or traveling by car. Trains depart from city centers, unlike airports on the outskirts of cities.

The company plans to expand its network of routes every year to contribute to the development of the European transportation system.
