The 2023 income declaration campaign has ended in Ukraine, and as of May 1, the number of hryvnia millionaires in the country is 10,000. This was reported by MP and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev on his Telegram channel.
According to him, as of May 1, 2024, Ukrainians have filed more than 172 thousand tax returns for a total income of UAH 218.5 billion.
What is the number of millionaires in Ukraine?
The number of people who declared an annual income of more than UAH 1 million in 2023 amounted to 10.7 thousand. This is 1.2 thousand more than in the previous year.
The amount of personal income tax and military duty to be paid out of the total amount is over UAH 1.0 billion.
The amount of tax liabilities to be paid to the budget for personal income tax (PIT) is UAH 4.8 billion, which is UAH 2.1 billion more than last year. The amount of military duty payable is UAH 0.9 billion, which is UAH 0.4 billion more than in the same period last year.

As you know, citizens and individual entrepreneurs had to file a declaration of their property status by May 1. The deadline for payment of tax liabilities is August 1 inclusive.
The fine for failure to file a declaration is UAH 340. In case of a repeated violation, the fine increases to UAH 1,020.
