Where in Ukraine is the cheapest and most expensive to live: a new ranking of regions
The cost of living ranking in different regions of Ukraine reflects not only economic realities, but also socio-cultural features and living standards. Find out in more detail which regions currently have the lowest prices and where the cost of living will be much higher
In the first three months of 2024, consumer price indices for a wide range of goods, including food, showed an increase in all regions of Ukraine, except Sumy region, compared to the same period last year. This is according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Which regions have become the most expensive to live in?
According to updated data from the State Statistics Service, the largest increase in indices was observed in the capital, where the value reached 102.6%. Significant increases in consumer price indices were also recorded in several other regions, most often in March. These include Lviv, Odesa, Zakarpattia, Kirovohrad, and Dnipro regions, where the index exceeded 101.3%.
This list also includes regions where active hostilities are ongoing and there are high risks for suppliers, such as Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions. This may be due to economic instability and increased risk.

The cheapest regions of Ukraine in 2024
The most affordable regions of Ukraine in terms of average price index growth include Volyn, Kyiv, Rivne, Ternopil, Kherson, Chernivtsi, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
The smallest increase in the indexes, which does not exceed 100.9%, is observed in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.
Sumy and Cherkasy regions even recorded a negative level of consumer prices by April, amounting to 99.7%. In particular, in Sumy region, prices in March 2024 remained at the level of March last year. In January and February, they even fell slightly.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
