What does the health insurance policy for entering Ukraine cover?
Depending on the selected package of services, a tourist in Ukraine can receive coverage for the following risks:
- General medical services and treatment of Covid-19 in Ukraine in the amount of 30,000 or 100,000 euros.
- Outpatient treatment (visit to a specialized doctor, examination and consultation, instrumental and laboratory examinations) in the event of an insured event.
- Medicines prescribed by a doctor to provide assistance in an insured event.
- Hospitalization (stay in a ward, intensive care unit, intensive care unit, medical care prescribed by a doctor, purchase of medicines).
- Coverage of costs for isolation of the Insured person and persons who were in close contact with the Insured person.
- Diagnosis of the Insured Person's contacts for COVID-19.
Does insurance cover military risks?
Yes, it covers. Under this health insurance policy, the insured risk is an accident as a result of military operations, passive military risks, terrorist acts (if the insured person is not a military serviceman), within the limit of 100,000 hryvnias.
What is the validity period of the insurance for entering Ukraine?
On the Visit Ukraine portal, insurance policies of different validity periods are available - from 3 days to 6 months. You choose the duration yourself - it depends on the number of days you stay in Ukraine.
The insurance contract enters into force from the moment of crossing the state border of Ukraine.

Who can be insured under this program?
The insurance policy applies to foreign citizens, subjects of another state and stateless persons. The insured person can be a representative of any country in the world, except the russian federation.
There are also no age restrictions: both minors and people over 70 can take out a policy.
Insurance for the elderly
Over 70 policies are also available. They cover the same list of risks as a regular policy: accident due to military actions, outpatient treatment, hospitalization, purchase of medicines, etc.
The cost of one insured day is from 6.6 euros.
Territories covered by the insurance policy
The insurance policy is valid on the territory of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions and Crimean Autonomous Republic, as well as the territories of direct combat clashes (front lines).
Who needs to take out an insurance policy before traveling to Ukraine?
An insurance policy is mandatory for journalists, mass media representatives, volunteers, and those applying for a visa to Ukraine.
