Lviv region is launching three new tourist routes this year, including in the Carpathian region. This was announced by the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

Thus, new routes will be opened in different directions. Two of them are in the Carpathian region, one is in the Zolochiv community and partially passes through the Northern Podillia National Park.

The Lviv Regional Tourist Board promises that the new routes will be not so popular, and for some people they will be unknown, and will allow you to discover the Lviv region in a new way and see it from unexpected heights.

What hiking routes are being launched in Lviv region?

Verkhovyna Watershed Ridge

One of the routes is the hiking trail No. 15 along the Verkhovyna Watershed Ridge. The route is designed for several days, with a total length of over 40 km. It starts from the village of Syanky and follows the Watershed Ridge to Mount Pikuy.

In addition to navigation signs, there will be several other pleasant surprises for travellers along the route. The hike along the route can be reduced to one day, as there will be hikes off the route to the villages of Lybokhora and Karpatske village.

From Truskavets to Orov

Another route is ‘Truskavets - Orov’, which has been assigned the number 506. A wind farm will become an attraction on this route. The route is about 15 km long.

Trails of heroes

The third route, ‘Paths of Heroes’, with a length of more than 10 km, will be marked in Zolochiv district under the number 4906.

This will be a historical and patriotic tourist route that will tell the story of the insurgency. It will offer an opportunity to explore the nature of the Podilska Upland and the lowland Voroniaky Ridge, as well as to see the discovered and restored hiding places, rebel graves and drinking water sources.
