The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched an updated electronic queue for consular services: what has changed
Consular services abroad have become more accessible to Ukrainians thanks to an updated electronic queue. Find out about the new features of the service, including six-monthly planning of visits, a waiting list and the possibility of registering with children
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has presented an updated electronic queue system for registering for consular services. The service was modernized after analyzing numerous requests and wishes of citizens to improve access to the MFA services.
Key updates to the electronic queue
The updated system has received a number of important changes that significantly simplify the process of registering for and receiving consular services:
● The ability to plan a visit six months in advance
● Automatic system of reminders and confirmation of the appointment 30, 7 and 3 days before the visit
● The function of adding children to the appointment to receive several services in one visit
● Enhanced protection mechanisms against unscrupulous intermediaries
Additional features of the updated service
The new version of the electronic queue also provides users with the following features:
● Updated personal account with simple record management
● Automatic check of the availability of necessary documents for men of military age
● Possibility to book a visit for the nearest dates in case of cancellation of previous appointments
Important changes for users
➤ For persons without an electronic signature
Citizens who, for objective reasons, are unable to obtain an electronic signature can contact the diplomatic mission directly by email to arrange a convenient time for a visit.
➤ For persons who had an appointment after November 15
Due to the restart of the system, users who had an appointment after November 15, 2024, need to re-register in the updated queue.

How to register in the electronic queue?
In order to improve access to consular services and combat cyber fraud, registration in the e-Queue is now subject to electronic identification of visitors using electronic signatures (on file, cloud or other secure media), Diia.Signature or NBU BankID.
Access to the updated electronic queue is provided through the official web portal https://id.e-consul.gov.ua/.
How do I sign up for the waiting list?
If there is no available time for an appointment, instead of constantly updating the service and checking for available seats, Ukrainians can sign up for the waiting list. If someone cancels their booked appointment, the free slot will be offered to those in the waiting list. A notification will be sent to the email address.
How it works in practice:
1. You will receive a notification about an available slot with a request to confirm the acceptability of the offered time.
2. If this time is suitable for you, you confirm your visit to the institution.
3. If the time is not suitable, you refuse and the system will automatically offer the slot to the next person in the waiting list.
