Hamburg changes the procedure for issuing passports to Ukrainians: what you should know
The Consulate General of Ukraine in Hamburg is introducing new rules for obtaining passport services for Ukrainians starting November 14, 2024. Find out how you can now get a passport, extend its validity and add information about your child
The Consulate General of Ukraine in Hamburg is introducing new rules for obtaining passport services. Starting November 14, 2024, Ukrainians will be able to obtain a passport and related services exclusively through an electronic queue.
Previously, passport documents were issued in a “live queue” format from Monday to Thursday. The new electronic queue system is designed to optimize the process of providing consular services and make it more convenient for Ukrainian citizens.

What services are covered by the changes
According to the updated rules published by the press service of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Hamburg, the “live queue” will no longer be valid for the following consular services
– obtaining a issued passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad
– extension of the validity of a passport
– entering information about a child in the passport of a legal representative

How to get passport services in Hamburg under the new rules
To receive consular services, Ukrainians need to:
1. Make a preliminary online appointment for a consular reception through the e-Queue system
2. Wait for confirmation of the specific date and time of the visit
3. Come to the consular office at the appointed time with the necessary documents
Special requirements for men of military age
Men aged 18 to 60 years who are abroad or reside abroad must additionally provide a military registration document. It is important that the document must be in electronic format - in the “Reserve+” application on your smartphone.
