In major Austrian cities such as Vienna, Graz or Linz, the average price for renting a one-bedroom apartment is between 800 and 1,200 euros per month. For two-bedroom apartments, the price range is between €1,100 and €1,500 per month.
In smaller towns, rental housing is more affordable. The average price for renting a one-bedroom apartment in a small town in Austria is between EUR 600 and EUR 800 per month, and for a two-bedroom apartment - between EUR 800 and EUR 1,100.
As for utilities, the average cost for a one-room apartment in Austria is 150 to 250 euros per month (electricity, gas, water, internet). For a two-bedroom apartment, utility costs usually range from 200 to 350 euros.

- Meat (1 kg) - 10.00-20.00 euros (depending on the type);
- Vegetables (1 kg) - 2.00 - 4.00 euros;
- Fruit (1 kg) - 2.00-4.50 euros.
For a family of 3 (two adults and one child), the average monthly food budget in Austria in 2024 would be approximately €800 - €1,200.

Public transport is very well developed in all major cities of Austria. Trams, subways and trains are particularly popular.
A single ticket for urban/suburban transport costs from 2.40 to 3.80 euros. A daily ticket costs from 8.00 to 12.00 euros, a weekly ticket from 17.00 to 25.00 euros, and a monthly ticket from 48.00 to 65.00 euros. It should be noted that prices may vary depending on the region.
