Six federal states of Germany continue to receive Ukrainians fleeing the war and forced to leave their country. We remind you how to get from Ukraine to Germany and what you need to know if you have arrived or are planning to go to this country.

How to get to Germany from Ukraine?
You can get to Germany by long-distance train from Poland, the Czech Republic or Austria. On odd numbers, a humanitarian train departs from Przemyśl in Poland to Germany, with the final stop in Hanover.
It is better to arrive in the country at three main stations - Hanover, Cottbus and Berlin. There are volunteers here who can give you the help you need, and there are also buses from these stations to refugee locations and other cities throughout Germany.

Rules of entry to Germany for refugees from Ukraine
Ukrainians can enter Germany without a visa. However, you can stay in the country without registration as a tourist for up to 90 days, then you must apply for temporary protection status.

What kind of financial assistance does Germany provide to Ukrainians?
Citizens of Ukraine who arrived in Germany after February 24, 2022 are considered refugees from the war. Therefore, they are equal to German citizens in terms of unemployment benefits. Unemployment benefits in Germany from January 1, 2023, amount to 449 euros.
Additional financial assistance can also be received by pregnant women, mothers or fathers raising a child on their own, etc.
