Ukrainians whose child was born in evacuation abroad will be able to receive assistance from the state remotely.

In order to receive assistance at the birth of a child, parents must personally apply to the social protection authorities. However, during a stay in another country, it is difficult to do this, so the authorities adopted a bill that gives adults the opportunity to receive money under a simplified system.

How to get an allowance at the birth of a child abroad?

The algorithm of actions, according to the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine, is as follows:

1. Open a bank account for social payments (such an account can be opened remotely without the need for a personal visit).

2. Fill out an application for the appointment of childbirth allowance (application form - here).

3. Add to the application the copies of documents certifying the birth of the child, issued by the competent authorities of the country of residence and legalised in accordance with the established procedure, with translation into Ukrainian.

4. send by mail the application and copies of documents certifying the birth of the child to the social protection authorities at your registered place of residence in Ukraine.

Who and how will assign assistance?

The social protection authority, to which the application and documents are sent, will assign the aid.

The money will be credited to your personal bank account.

Please note that the period of application for assistance is 12 months after the birth of the child.
