Ukrainian cities have been at war for almost two years. During this time, the russian army has destroyed or destroyed many settlements that used to be home to thousands of people. Here's a look at the Ukrainian cities that have experienced the true brutality of russia.

The towns of Bucha, Irpin, and Gostomel became known worldwide after the russian army turned them into ruins. The presence of russians in them left a bloody stain in the history of these small towns where civilians lived.

Bucha

This town was one of the first to be reached by the russians in February 2022. Photos from Yablunska Street, which showed horrific footage of civilians being shot, went viral. Also here you will see the station where a column of about 30 russian vehicles was broken up, and the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called and All Saints, near which a mass grave of Ukrainian citizens shot by russian soldiers was organized.

Irpin

The hero city of Irpin received this status for a reason. It is here that the cemetery of equipment destroyed in the battles for Irpin, shot during the evacuation and burned down as a result of air strikes on the Romanivsky Bridge is located.

In addition, there is a cultural center in this city, where active battles between Ukrainian defenders and the russian horde took place.

Gostomel

This town is located in the Bucha district and was also one of the first towns that the russian army tried to capture. A strategic Ukrainian airfield is located in Gostomel, where the russians tried to land troops to create a bridgehead.

It was in Gostomel that Ukrainian troops defeated huge brigades of occupation troops.

All of the above-mentioned places are also worthy of attention, as they are the places where the world-famous anonymous artist Banksy visited. He left his works in the form of street art in these cities.
