The situation on the territory of russia has significantly escalated in recent days. There have been regular air strikes on the territory of the country, and in the border regions land volunteer formations have engaged in combat with the russian army. Find out how the situation is developing now and why residents of some regions are being urged to evacuate
The russian federation has entered the second day of the escalation of the situation with air strikes and the offensive of russian paramilitary volunteers in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. Here is how the situation has changed over the past 24 hours and what is happening in russia now.
The RDC, the russian freedom legion and the Siberia battalion are advancing
As you know, yesterday a joint operation of russian volunteer formations began on the border with the russian federation. Thus, fighters from the russian Volunteer Corps, the Freedom of russia Legion and the Siberia Battalion broke through the border and engaged in a battle with russian border troops. The volunteers managed to advance in some areas.
In particular, the battle for the village of Tetkino in the Kursk region is currently underway. According to the russian media, four soldiers of the regular army of the russian federation were killed and about 9 were wounded in the fighting with the volunteers.
It is worth noting that yesterday it was reported that the volunteers had taken full control of Tetkine, but later it was clarified that the fighting in this village continues.
According to the Freedom of russia legion, the unit's fighters were well prepared for the clash with the russian army and chose the most convenient border areas to enter the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
They also said that the volunteers had destroyed several units of armoured vehicles of the russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region using drones.
In the afternoon of 13 March, the Legion's Telegram channel 'Freedom of russia' posted the following message:
"Putin's murderers are launching massive attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities, putting their positions between your homes, your children's schools and government institutions... In this regard, we are forced to inflict a fire defeat on the military positions located in the cities of Belgorod and Kursk. To avoid civilian casualties, we urge everyone to leave the cities immediately."

Oil depots are burning and explosions are rumbling in russia
For several days in a row, kamikaze drones, reportedly belonging to the Security Service of Ukraine, have been attacking russian oil depots. On the night of 13 March, an aerial attack hit oil refineries in Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Leningrad regions.
Almost all russian media outlets have been publishing the moments and consequences of the drone attacks since the morning. The footage shows that russia's air defence system is unable to cope with the massive attack and allows drones to reach critical facilities.
Recently, the Rostov Region authorities reported that a drone had crashed into the Novoshakhty Oil Products Plant.
In general, the situation in russia has escalated ahead of the presidential elections scheduled for 15-17 March. The elections were the reason for the russian volunteers to attack the region of russia to rid the country of the dictatorship.
