Power outages create a lot of inconvenience for Ukrainians, especially for those who work remotely and need to be constantly connected. Learn how to find places with generators using special maps to recharge your phone or work
Power outages can cause significant inconvenience, especially if you need to recharge your phone or continue working. For such cases, there are special maps that will help you find establishments that run on generators.
Find out what the curfew is in different regions of Ukraine in 2024 here.
Maps to find establishments operating during power outages
One of the most popular tools is LUN's “Useful Map”. It covers establishments all over Ukraine, including coffee shops, restaurants, coworking spaces, gas stations, beauty salons, sports complexes, and post offices. Users can also use convenient filters to help them sort the available establishments according to their needs. After selecting a location on the map, the user receives information about the address, opening hours, and availability of a generator.
Residents of Lviv, Kyiv, Rivne, Uzhhorod, and Zaporizhzhia can use Stroom Map. This tool works similarly to the LUN map, but provides only the address and phone number of the selected location. Importantly, the map also shows the locations of the facilities that are in the shelter and open during the air raid.

How do I find the nearest indestructibility points?
In addition to commercial establishments, Ukraine has organized “Points of Resilience” - places where everyone can use light, communication, heat and water. To find such places, there is a separate map that additionally shows pharmacies, restaurants, gas stations, and other establishments with generators. It is important to note that some of these facilities may provide services for money.
To avoid manually searching for the nearest Unbreakable Point, you can use a special chatbot on Telegram that will show you the nearest facility after you enter your address or geolocation.
We remind you! Ukraine has created an interactive map of Internet providers that will allow you to check whether you will have Internet access in the event of a power outage. Read how to check if your provider is ready for blackouts and which internet service is better to choose in order to stay connected when the power goes out in our previous article.
