Entering Ukraine: Car insurance against war risks for foreigners
Foreigners entering Ukraine by their own car are allowed to do so on the basis of a valid Green Card insurance policy.
Foreigners are not required to take out additional car insurance in Ukraine.
However, foreign visitors to the country can additionally take out voluntary car insurance that covers the risks of war. This policy will protect the driver from possible unpleasant situations and the cost of vehicle repairs if the vehicle suffers from military risks.
Mini Casco is a voluntary car insurance that, depending on the package chosen, covers the cost of repairing your own car if the driver is found guilty, tow truck services, complete destruction of the vehicle as a result of a natural disaster and passive war risks.
Also, before travelling to Ukraine by car, we advise you to check petrol prices and the location of electric car charging stations.
