The State Employment Service has launched a job search app: what services are now available online?
Recently, it became known that the State Employment Service of Ukraine, together with its partners, has created a new application for job search in Ukraine. Learn more about the initiative, how to download the app and its functionality
The State Employment Service of Ukraine is introducing a solution that should make it easier for people to find work. With the support of UNDP, the governments of Poland and Germany, and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, a modern mobile application for job seekers has been developed.
The article below describes what services will be available in the app and how it will simplify the job search.
Mobile app for job search: what do we know?
In 2023, more than 665,000 Ukrainians used the services of the State Employment Service, and as of 2024, this figure has already reached 548,000. Given the high demand, it was decided to relieve the workload of physical employment centres and create a convenient tool for online job search via smartphone.
The first stage of development focuses on the needs of job seekers. In the future, it is planned to add functionality for employers to make the employment process even more convenient.
‘We hope that this app will help as many people as possible to find a job, improve their knowledge and skills or learn a new profession. Today, structural unemployment is one of the key challenges for businesses. It is important for us that the services of the State Employment Service can be used online in a few clicks,’ comments Yulia Svyrydenko, Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

The new application offers a wide range of options for job seekers:
- applying for an educational voucher for advanced training;
- taking online courses to help improve skills;
- scheduling meetings with potential employers;
- career consultations with experts;
- registering in an electronic queue to visit employment centres;
- obtaining necessary certificates.
In addition, the app is available for Ukrainians temporarily residing abroad.
The app is already available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
There are several authentication methods for logging in: electronic signature, Bank ID, Diia.Signature or guest mode. After authorisation, the user gets access to a single job portal with full employment service functionality.
"Thanks to the generous support of our partners and fruitful cooperation with relevant ministries and public services, we are able to respond promptly to the current needs and challenges in the employment sector in Ukraine. The creation of a mobile application for the State Employment Service is an undoubted step forward. We are confident that this application will make it easier for thousands of Ukrainians to find a job," comments UNDP Resident Representative Jaco Silje.
To remind you. Pension reform in Ukraine may be implemented next year. At least, such plans are laid down in the draft budget. Find out whether this means that pension payments will increase here.
