The Icelandic low-cost carrier Fly Play enters the Polish market: when to expect Warsaw - Reykjavik flights and ticket prices

Recently, the low-cost Icelandic airline Fly Play announced the launch of flights between Poland and Iceland in early 2023.
What is known about Fly Play airline?
Fly Play is an Icelandic airline that has become famous for its comfortable conditions and inexpensive flight tickets. The company entered the market back in 2019. Since then, Fly Play has been actively opening new directions.
Currently, the representative office of the airline announced the opening of a new air route from the Warsaw airport named after Frédéric Chopin to Iceland.
Since opening, Fly Play has specialized in flights between North America and Europe. The company's mission is to make the flight comfortable, while keeping the price of tickets affordable and affordable for all passengers.

When can we expect the first flights from Poland to Iceland?
The first flights between Warsaw and Iceland can be expected in the near future. In the low-cost airline's reservation system, it is now possible to choose tickets for "pilot" flights.
• Flight OG 502 is scheduled for December 23, 2022. The aircraft is scheduled to depart Reykjavík at 11:55 a.m. and land in Warsaw at 4:55 p.m. As you can calculate, the flight will last only 4 hours.
• The return flight OG 505 is scheduled for January 3, 2023. The aircraft is scheduled to depart Warsaw at 13:50 and land in Reykjavík at approximately 17:30.
Thanks to these "pilot" flights, Fly Play will be able to provide charter connections with a small number of seats for individual customers. It is also noted that this will be the so-called preparation for the start of a full-scale connection between Warsaw and Iceland.
When are scheduled flights between Poland and Iceland scheduled?
The carrier plans to launch regular flights between Poland and Iceland as early as next year.
"Warsaw will be a powerful addition to our route line. She became our fifth new referral. We have already announced the opening of connections to Athens, Porto, Hamburg and Stockholm. We want to offer our passengers the opportunity to pay less for air tickets and thus spend more at the points of arrival. As we like to say, pay less - play more", - said the CEO of Fly Play.
The first regularly scheduled flight from Warsaw to Reykjavik is scheduled for spring, namely on April 3, 2023. The further schedule is planned until October. Until the end of October 2023, Fly Play will operate two flights on Sundays, every Monday and Friday. As mentioned earlier, in Warsaw, planes will operate from the airport named after Chopin.
How much will the tickets cost for the Warsaw - Reykjavik flight?
The airline noted that tickets for the first regular flights from Warsaw to Iceland will cost from 259 zlotys, but you can find one zloty cheaper - for 258. This price for a one-way flight applies when buying round-trip tickets. The cost of a one-way ticket from Warsaw to Reykjavik starts at 428 zlotys, while a Sunday stay in Iceland will cost you 588 zlotys.
