Inhaltsübersicht
Ukrainian missileers, artillerymen and engineers continue to destroy the enemy on the battlefield, risking their lives as well as demonstrating their professionalism and dedication to their country. Find out exactly what missions these military personnel perform and why they are considered among the best in the world
On November 3, Ukraine celebrates two military holidays at once: the Day of the Missile and Artillery Forces and the Day of the Engineer Forces. Today, Ukrainians express their gratitude and appreciation to the military personnel working in these branches for their contribution to the country's security and independence.
The Day of Missile Forces and Artillery was established by a presidential decree in 1997. At the same time, the Day of the Engineer Troops was established in Ukraine a little later - in 1999.
Who are they and what do they do?
Ukraine's missile, artillery and engineering forces play an important role in the country's defense. They include specialists trained and ready to perform a variety of tasks.
Missile Forces: These forces are responsible for missile weapons, including strategic and tactical missiles. The missile forces have repeatedly proved their skills by conducting targeted strikes on russian troop concentrations, headquarters and major military facilities. Suffice it to recall the recent strikes on the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Artillery troops: artillery plays an important role in supporting combat operations by providing precision firepower to targets on the ground. These troops provide the firepower necessary for the effective defense of the country, as well as during the ground offensive against enemy positions.
Engineer troops: Engineers perform a variety of tasks, such as strengthening defenses, demining, providing infrastructure for troops, and more. They play an important role in preparing and supporting military operations. Without these people, Ukrainian forces would not have been able to achieve such success in the war against russia.
Rocket scientists, artillerymen and engineers are actively involved in the defense of the country against russian aggression, and are also actively involved in the offensive of the Armed Forces. In particular, they provide the country with the necessary means to resist aggression and defend its territory. Thanks to their efforts, Ukraine is able to effectively repel attacks and prevent further aggression.

According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian missile forces and artillery have become one of the strongest in the world. "Despite the enemy's superiority in resources, our soldiers are the most effective and motivated. And their accuracy ensures powerful results," he said.
The President also emphasized that every day, in difficult conditions, the engineer troops perform many different tasks to ensure the stability of Ukraine's defense, advancement and destruction of russian invaders.
"On the Day of the Missile, Artillery and Engineer Forces of Ukraine, we must express our deep gratitude to all the servicemen and women who serve in these branches of the armed forces for their courage, dedication and bravery in defending their homeland. Their sacrificial work and willingness to risk their lives to ensure Ukraine's security deserve respect and support. Ukraine should be grateful for their protection!
