Ukraine can boast of the availability and affordability of Internet services, being among the top three countries with the cheapest Internet. Find out more about which countries have the most expensive internet and what is the average internet speed in Ukraine
Picodi Ukraine analysts have analyzed the tariffs of 364 Internet providers in 85 countries and ranked countries by Internet accessibility and cost.
Here's how Ukraine ranks in terms of speed.
Ukraine is among the top countries with the cheapest internet: details
Among the Internet speeds, 100 Mbps proved to be the most popular in the world. According to Speedtest.net, the average global internet connection speed is 85 Mbps.
To watch 4K UHD video on popular streaming services, speeds of 15 Mbps to 50 Mbps are enough.
Picodi Ukraine found that 74 out of 85 Internet providers offer speeds of 100 Mbps. Interestingly, in countries such as Spain, China, Singapore, and France, this speed is no longer considered high.
Residents of Norway ($79.4 per month on average), Iceland ($62.1 per month), and Australia ($61.8 per month) pay the most for 100 Mbps packages. Among the countries with the lowest prices are Russia ($5.6 per month), Ukraine ($6.1 per month) and Romania ($6.4 per month).
Where does Ukraine stand in the ranking?
Ukraine ranked second in the global ranking for the availability of Internet services with a speed of 100 Mbps, with the cost of such a package being approximately ₴223 per month.
This speed is the most popular among Ukrainian Internet providers, which is in line with the global average.
