Since October, Poland has been introducing new types of social assistance for children under the Aktywny rodzic program. According to inpoland.net.pl, citizens of Ukraine will be able to receive assistance in the amount of PLN 1500 or 1900 per child, provided that several requirements are met.

Aktywny rodzic program in Poland: what Ukrainians need to know

In general, the Aktywny rodzic program includes three types of financial aid:

– Aktywni rodzice w pracy - for working parents.

– Aktywnie w domu - for those who take care of a child at home.

– Aktywnie w żłobku - to pay for childcare services for children under three years of age.

Ukrainians who arrived in Poland after the outbreak of a full-scale war will be eligible for the “aktywnie w żłobku” program.

Funds under the “aktywnie w żłobku” program will be used to pay for nurseries, children's clubs, day care, etc. until the child reaches the age of three. In case of difficulties in obtaining preschool education, payments will continue until the end of the school year in which the child turns four.

The amount of the allowance

– PLN 1500 per month for one child.

– PLN 1900 per month for a child with a disability.

1. The applicant (the child's legal guardian) and the child must have the status of UKR.

2. The applicant (the child's legal guardian) and the child must have resided in Poland continuously for 365 days at the time of submitting the application.

– One of the child's parents (including foster parents).
