Azerbaijani student visa for citizens of Ukraine

An Azerbaijani student visa is granted for studying in Azerbaijan, which involves a temporary stay in the country.

What documents do Ukrainians need to obtain a student visa to Azerbaijan?

1. Application form. Fully completed in English, signed and dated by the applicant (in the case of minors under 18 years of age - by both parents)

2. Passport. Valid for at least 6 months after the date of your transit through Azerbaijan

3. Two photographs

3. Photocopies of your passport

4. The original letter of admission to an educational institution in Azerbaijan indicating the course, duration and cost of training with proof of payment.

5. Confirmation of availability of funds

In case of scholarship:

• Confirmation of receipt of a grant or scholarship from the relevant fund of Azerbaijan
  

In case of self-financing:

• Generally, there are several recognized ways to prove your financial solvency:
  
• Personal bank statement showing your financial movements (at least for the last 3 months)
  
• Credit card
  
• Cash
  
• Traveler's checks
  
• Salary check
  
• Certificate from the place of work
  
• A document confirming the sponsor's willingness to cover your expenses during your stay
  
• Confirmation of pre-paid accommodation
  
• A document confirming that you are staying in a private house

In case of sponsorship:

• A current account statement of the sponsor for the last 3 months (indicating the name of the sponsor, the final balance and the date of issue).
  
• Sponsorship letter, copy of the first page of the sponsor's passport.

Time for obtaining a student visa to Azerbaijan

The average time for issuing a student visa to Azerbaijan (short-term) is 3-20 calendar days. It depends on the country to which you are applying for a visa.

Where to apply for a student visa to Azerbaijan?

You apply for a short-term student visa at the Visa Application Centers, Embassies or Consulates of Azerbaijan, depending on which ones accept visa applications in your country of residence. If there are no visa centers in your country, you should contact the nearest embassy or consulate in your region.

What do I have to do after arriving in Azerbaijan?

1. For Ukrainians arriving in Azerbaijan:

• a student visa is required;
  
• apply to the State Migration Service for registration (in a hotel, hostel, apartment) within 10 days.
  
• Registration here.

2. The following documents must be submitted to the university:

• an application addressed to the head of the educational institution indicating (the chosen specialty, language of instruction and form (type) of study;
  
• copy (copies) of documents with grades in subjects taken in a certain form, legalized with translation into Azerbaijani and approved in accordance with the regulatory procedure;
  
• a health certificate, including the absence of AIDS, hepatitis B and carriage of the C virus;
  
• passport;
  
• 6 3x4 photos;
