Turkey is one of the most popular countries for Ukrainian refugees. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 220,000 citizens of Ukraine have left for this country. Now their number has decreased, but some Ukrainians continue to stay in this country and need employment. We tell you where to find vacancies and how to get a job in Turkey.

Residence permit in Turkey: changes in 2023.
It is worth noting that in Turkey, the legislation provides for a number of professions in which foreigners cannot be employed. These include lawyers, notaries, judges, prosecutors, security guards, customs brokers, nurses/midwives, pharmacists/opticians, dentists/veterinarians, managers of clinics and travel agencies.

More than 55% of workers in the country are employed in the service sector, another 27% - in industry, agriculture accounts for about 17.7%. Basically, the most popular professions in Turkey are cleaners, waitresses, maids, dancers, animators, guides, bartenders and massage therapists.
Turkey also needs:
• accountants;
• engineers;
• managers;
• translators;
• teachers of foreign languages;
• programmers;
• sellers;
• builders;
• employees in the field of tourism.

How to get a job in Turkey, and what is the salary?
According to Turkish law, several prerequisites must be met for a foreigner to be employed:
- find a vacancy in advance;
- sign an employment contract;
- get a Turkish work visa.
Deportation and fines are provided for illegal employment in Turkey, which will soon increase to almost 36 thousand liras.
According to the country's Ministry of Labor, in 2022 the minimum wage in Turkey was about 350 dollars, the average - about 850 dollars (already with taxes deducted).

Where to find a job in Turkey?
You can use special sites for independent job search. There are several of them:

In particular, it is necessary to be fluent in Russian and English. Knowledge of computer systems and booking software is also a must. Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
