Ukraine will introduce a one-time payment of financial assistance in case of disability or death due to war. Find out more about the amount of payments offered by the state and other details
On Monday, March 20, MPs supported draft law No. 7353 in the second reading. According to the document, Ukrainians will be able to receive payments in case of disability or death due to the war.
Who is eligible for additional payments, and what is the amount?
The funds can be received by:
• persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or local government;
• employees of critical infrastructure facilities; journalists or members of their families.
Amount of payment:
• in case of death due to injury - UAH 1 million;
• in the case of a disability group from III to I resulting from an injury - from UAH 200 to 800 thousand.
It is emphasized that the funds paid from the state budget will be reimbursed from the aggressor state, the russian, in accordance with international law.
"This is an important decision because the enemy is shelling civilian targets, including critical infrastructure, where civilian workers are among the victims. It is also important that the list includes journalists. They are now doing a very dangerous job to inform the society and the whole world about what is happening in the hot spots in our country", - explained MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.
We remind you! The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has prepared amendments to the procedure for artists, artists and journalists to travel abroad. Read more about who will be able to travel abroad in our article.
