The used car market in Ukraine continues to adapt to new conditions. The duration of a car sale depends on many factors. Find out more about how long it takes to sell a used car in Ukraine
The used car market in Ukraine remains dynamic and sensitive to various factors, including economic, political and social. The ongoing war in the country has had a significant impact on this segment of the car market. Below, we will tell you how long it takes to sell a used car in Ukraine in 2024 on average, based on a study conducted by AUTO.RIA.
How long does it take to sell a car on the Ukrainian domestic market?
According to the study, the average time to sell a used car in Ukraine in 2024 is 100 days or more. This indicates that the sales process has slowed down significantly compared to pre-war times.
The average time to sell a budget car is 76 days. At the same time, expensive cars take about 100 days to sell.
How to sell a car: factors that affect the duration of a car sale
● The condition of the car. Cars in good technical condition with minimal damage sell faster.
● Price. An overpriced car can drive potential buyers away, increasing the time it takes to sell.
● Make and model. Popular brands and models usually sell faster.
● Equipment. Cars with additional options and equipment may be more attractive to buyers.
● Seasonality. Activity in the used car market can vary depending on the time of year.
● General economic situation. Economic instability, inflation, and declining household incomes can negatively affect the demand for used cars.
In order to speed up the process of selling a used car, sellers are advised to carefully prepare the car for sale, realistically estimate the value, take high-quality photos, place ads on various platforms and provide potential buyers with all the necessary information about the car.
