What documents do Ukrainians need to travel to Guatemala?
• Foreign passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
• Return ticket: Confirmation of a ticket to leave Guatemala (or another country) after the end of the authorized period of stay.
• Proof of accommodation: A hotel reservation or invitation from the person providing the accommodation.
• Financial means: Documentary evidence of sufficient funds for your stay in the country.
• Health insurance: not mandatory, but it is highly recommended to have a policy that covers possible medical expenses during your stay in Guatemala.
How much money do you need to cross the border?
When entering Guatemala, border services may check that you have sufficient funds to stay in the country. There is no officially established minimum amount, but travelers must have enough money to pay for accommodation, living expenses, and a return ticket.
If you are bringing in cash or financial instruments worth more than USD 10,000 (or equivalent), you must declare them in accordance with customs regulations.
Possibility of extension of short-term stay and visas for citizens of Ukraine
Ukrainians can visit Guatemala without a visa for up to 90 days. During the stay in the country, it is possible to extend this period for another 90 days by applying to the local migration authorities.
