Ukrainian cities are once again in the international safety rankings, but this time not on the positive side.

According to the international project Numbeo, five Ukrainian cities were included in the list of the most dangerous cities in Europe.

Which Ukrainian cities are in the ranking?

Odesa and Dnipro are among the top 20 most crime-ridden cities on the continent.

In total, there are 149 European cities in the ranking, and five of them are Ukrainian:

🔴 Odesa - 17th place in the list of the most dangerous cities in Europe.

🔴 Dnipro - 20th place.

🔴 Kharkiv - 42nd place.

🔴 Kyiv - 51st place.

🔴 Lviv - 79th place.

This indicates a difficult crime situation in Ukrainian cities, especially in times of war and economic instability.

What is the Numbeo rating and how is it compiled?

Numbeo is an international project that annually assesses the standard of living in different countries of the world. The level of security is determined based on crime statistics, corruption, law enforcement, and other social factors.

In addition to security, Numbeo also evaluates countries by the following criteria:

✔️ level of environmental pollution;

✔️ purchasing power of the population;

✔️ ratio of housing prices to income;

✔️ quality of healthcare

✔️ cost of living;

✔️ commuting time.

Why are Ukrainian cities on the list?

The war, economic instability, high levels of corruption and rising crime have led to a deterioration in Ukrainian cities. However, it is worth noting that this rating reflects subjective perceptions of safety and may not always correspond to the actual situation in individual cities.
