RULES FOR STAYING IN HOTELS

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.

Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.

Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.

Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.

Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.

Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;

Self-serve is not allowed.

  • I am a foreigner (stateless person; I have a temporary residence permit in Ukraine), fully vaccinated of the WHO approved vaccine for emergency use - Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca / Covishield (India), AstraZeneca / SKBio (South Korea), Moderna / Spikevax, Sinopharm (Vero Cell), CoronaVac (Sinovac), Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine - I have a certificate of a complete course of vaccination
    Entry into the country is completely free - no tests, no self-isolation. However, all foreigners, regardless of age, including those who are vaccinated, must have an insurance policy that covers the treatment of coronavirus and is valid for the entire period of stay in Ukraine.
  • I am a foreigner from 18 years old (stateless person; I have a temporary residence permit in Ukraine), I have a digital COVID certificate (EU DCC or an equivalent from any country that is connected to the EU system), which contains information about vaccination (1, 2 or more doses) or proof of recovery from COVID-19
    Entry into the country is completely free - no tests, no self-isolation. However, all foreigners, regardless of age, including those who are vaccinated, must have an insurance policy that covers the treatment of coronavirus and is valid for the entire period of stay in Ukraine.

    Proof of recovery from COVID-19 is accepted only in the form of a digital COVID certificate (EU DCC or an equivalent from any country that is connected to the EU system). You also need to have an insurance policy to enter the country. Proof of previous illness in the form of a doctor's note, positive test or antibody test - will not be accepted! To enter the country, you must have a negative test result (PCR or antigen), which was carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the border. Upon arrival you have to install and activate the application "Vdoma" and agree to begin self-isolation within 72 hours after entry. During this time, you have the opportunity either to undergo PCR testing or to do a rapid antigen test - in case of a negative result, self-isolation is not applied. If within 72 hours from the moment of crossing the border, a negative test result was not received, you must self-isolate for 10 days in the place indicated during authorization in the application "Vdoma". Self-isolation can be terminated early by receiving a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test.

During this time, you have the opportunity either to undergo PCR testing or to do a rapid antigen test - in case of a negative result, self-isolation is not applied. If within 72 hours from the moment of crossing the border, a negative test result was not received, you must self-isolate for 10 days in the place indicated during authorization in the application “Vdoma”. Self-isolation can be terminated early by receiving a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test.
      • I am a foreigner (stateless person; I have a temporary residence permit in Ukraine) from 18 years old, not vaccinated, came from Russia or India (and spent more than 7 days there in the last 14 days)
        To enter the country, you must have an insurance policy and a negative test result (PCR or antigen), which was carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the border. When entering the country, you need to install and activate the application "Vdoma" and go to self-isolation for a period of 14 days. You do not have the opportunity to take a test in Ukraine in order to avoid or shorten the period of self-isolation.
        • I am a foreigner (stateless person; I have a temporary residence permit in Ukraine) from 12 to 18 years old, not vaccinated
          To enter the country, you must have an insurance policy and a negative test result (PCR or antigen), which was carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the border. Installation of the Vdoma app, self-isolation or additional tests are not required
          • I am a foreigner (stateless person; I have a temporary residence permit in Ukraine) up to 12 full years, not vaccinated
            To enter the country, you must have an insurance policy. Pre-entry tests, installation of the Vdoma app, self-isolation or additional tests are not required
            • I am a foreigner (stateless person; I have a temporary residence permit in Ukraine), I am traveling in transit through the territory of Ukraine by any type of transport that lasts less than 48 hours:
              • • If you are vaccinated with 1 or more doses of WHO approved vaccine for emergency use – Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca / Covishield (India), AstraZeneca / SKBio (South Korea), Moderna / Spikevax, Sinopharm (Vero Cell), CoronaVac ( Sinovac), Johnson & Johnson's Janssen – to enter the country, you only need to have an insurance policy and a vaccination certificate;
                • If you are not vaccinated, or do not have a digital COVID certificate (EU DCC or an analogue from any country that is connected to the EU system) – to enter the country you must have an insurance policy and a negative test result (PCR or antigen), which was carried out for no more than 72 hours before crossing the border. Installation of Vdoma app, self-isolation and additional tests are not required, provided that you show proof of your departure and leave the country within 48 hours;
                • If you are not vaccinated, and you are coming from Russia or India (and have spent more than 7 days there in the last 14 days) – to enter the country you must have an insurance policy and a negative test result (PCR or antigen), which was carried out for no more than 72 hours before crossing the border. Installation of Vdoma app, self-isolation and additional tests are not required, provided that you show proof of your departure and leave the country within 48 hours.
                • I do not have the ability / desire to install the Vdoma app
                  In case of impossibility or refusal to install the mobile application “Vdoma”, a foreigner from 18 years old will be denied crossing the state border.
                  • Is it necessary to have a printed test certificate?
                    No, the test certificate can be in electronic form.
                    • In what language are test certificates accepted?
                      The certificate can be in Ukrainian, English, or Russian. Vaccination certificate in English or with translation into English
                      • What vaccines does Ukraine recognize?
                        Ukraine recognizes vaccines included by WHO in the list of approved for use in emergency situations. Today they are: Pfizer / BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson's Janssen, AstraZeneca / Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca / Covishield (India), AstraZeneca / SKBio (South Korea), Moderna / Spikevax, Sinopharm (Vero Cell), CoronaVac (Sinovac)

  • For how long should I take out an insurance policy?
    According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1236, an insurance policy must be issued for the entire period of stay in Ukraine. The minimum period is not specified.
  • Do I need to buy an insurance policy for children?
    Yes, if the child has foreign citizenship, regardless of age, they need to have an insurance policy for the entire period of their stay in Ukraine.
  • If I have a residence permit in Ukraine, am I allowed not to buy an insurance policy?
    Citizens with only a permanent residence permit may not apply for an insurance policy.
  • I am a foreign citizen, can I buy a policy already in Ukraine?
    No, the insurance policy must be presented at the border control.
  • What should I do if I entered incorrect data when applying for an insurance policy?
    You can always contact the portal's hotline, and we will promptly make the necessary changes to the insurance policy.
    • I applied for insurance, but haven’t received the code. What to do?
      In this case, we advise you to reload the page, clear the cache, change the language on the page, or use another browser.
    • What should I do if I haven’t received the policy to the specified mail for more than 30 minutes?
      Please, contact the hotline and provide the data specified when applying for the insurance.
    • I cannot pay for the insurance, what should I do?
      If your payment fails, we recommend contacting your bank, they often do not trust payment systems. You need to confirm that it is you who are doing the transaction.
    • Who can buy insurance?
      Insurance is provided for foreigners (non-residents of Ukraine) and citizens of Ukraine, including adults and children, without age restrictions.
      • Where can I read the terms and conditions of my coronavirus insurance contract?
        You can read about the terms of the insurance contract on our website in the section of the insurance policy registration.
      • Do I need to print an electronic policy?
        The electronic insurance policy does not need to be printed. It is enough to save it on your phone or tablet in order to always have access to the document and present it to the border control representatives.
      • What if I have purchased a policy but my trip is canceled?
