Work visa for Ukrainians in Kazakhstan
A visa is issued to foreign workers to enter Kazakhstan for the purpose of employment.
Citizens of Ukraine do not need a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Who is the inviting party?
The inviting party is your Kazakhstani employer to whom you are going to work in the Republic of Kazakhstan. As the inviting party, the employer is responsible for your entry and timely departure from the country.
How long is a C3 visa issued for?
A single entry visa is issued for a period of up to 90 days of stay. A multiple-entry visa is issued for the period of validity of the work permit, but not more than 3 years.

Where can I get a C3 visa?
You can obtain a C3 visa at the consulate of Kazakhstan in Ukraine or your country of permanent residence. If there is no consulate in your country, you can obtain a C3 visa upon arrival at the airports of Almaty, Astana and Aktau.
You can get a C3 visa in Kazakhstan at the migration service if you are already in the country on a visa:
- B2-B3 business
- B10 private
- C2 for family reunification
- C3 when changing employer and work permit
- C9 study
What do I need to get a C3 visa?
To apply for a work visa, your employer must contact the migration service. The main document for obtaining a visa is a work permit.
If you will be working as a head of a branch/representative office of a foreign legal entity in the Republic of Kazakhstan, you do not need an employment permit*.
For this purpose, you must provide:
- a decision on appointment to the position of the head
- a general power of attorney from the parent company
- If you have been appointed to the position of director or deputy director of a Kazakh legal entity with 100% foreign participation, you do not need a work permit either.
To apply for a visa, you must provide:
- a decision on appointment + an order to take up the position
- employment contract for the position of deputy director
- Documents issued abroad are subject to apostillization and consular legalization in the country of issue. If the document was issued in one of the CIS member states, it is sufficient to provide its original.

C3 visa for family members
While traveling and working in Kazakhstan, you may be accompanied by your family members (husband/wife, children). In this case, you also need to obtain a C3 visa for each family member as an accompanying person.
To apply for a visa you will need
- marriage certificate
- child's birth certificate
- The visa is issued to family members for the duration of your visa. A C3 work visa does not entitle accompanying family members to work in Kazakhstan.
If a close relative wants to work officially in Kazakhstan, he or she needs to obtain a work permit.

200 dollars - multiple entry for up to 1 year.
$400 - multiple entry for up to 2 years.
