Nous avons rassemblé un guide des meilleurs lieux pour les fans, de Paris à Berlin. Découvrez où regarder le football en Europe aux côtés d'autres fans
A historic event for all sports fans is just around the corner — the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on 11 June! For the first time in history, the World Cup will be hosted by three countries — the USA, Canada and Mexico — with a record 48 national teams competing for the top prize.
For millions of football fans from Ukraine, who are currently both at home and in various parts of Europe, a month of sleepless nights (due to the time difference) is about to begin.
Time difference: when to watch the 2026 World Cup in Europe and Ukraine
As the tournament is taking place on the North American continent, European viewers will have to adjust their schedules slightly. The time difference between the host cities (from New York to Los Angeles) and Central Europe ranges from 6 to 9 hours.
For residents of Ukraine (Kyiv time) and those in the EU (Central European Time, CET), most matches will kick off late in the evening or late at night.
⏳ Daytime matches in the US will be broadcast in Europe at an ideal evening time (around 21:00 – 22:00).
⏳ Evening matches in the US will turn into night-time marathons for Europeans, kicking off at 01:00, 03:00 or even 05:00 in the morning.

Main Euro 2026 fan zones: where to watch the World Cup alongside thousands of fans
Watching football at home is convenient, but nothing compares to the atmosphere of a fan zone packed with thousands of people. For Ukrainians temporarily living in Europe, it’s also a great opportunity to get together. Here are the best locations in European capitals:
Paris
The French capital has prepared a host of unusual venues for fans.
Quai de la Photo (Seine Embankment): From 12 June to 19 July 2026, a free floating fan zone will be open here. You can watch the matches on big screens whilst enjoying the cool river breeze and DJ sets. Address: 13th arrondissement, 22 Port de la Gare.
📍Felicità and La Communale: La Felicità will host a huge food and drink fan zone with screens, whilst La Communale will add giant table football and prediction competitions to the viewing experience.
📍Parc de la Villette: A classic park fan zone with a huge screen and free outdoor events.
📍La Cité Fertile (Pantin): A large open-air venue with DJ sets for those who love the atmosphere of summer festivals.
Berlin
Important to know: the usual large-scale fan zone near the Brandenburg Gate will not be organised in 2026. However, the German capital won’t be left without football:
📍Potsdamer Platz: A modern indoor venue with a 100-square-metre LED screen will be set up here.
📍BRLO Brauhaus (Gleisdreieck): One of the city’s most popular spots for craft beer and live broadcasts.
📍Beach Neukölln: The perfect spot to watch matches in the relaxed atmosphere of an urban beach.
Madrid
In Spain, football is a religion. If you’re planning a trip there, here are the main gathering spots:
📍Plaza de la Sol and Plaza de La Latina: This is where the liveliest open-air venues and temporary fan zones will be set up.
📍Retiro Park: Huge sports bars around the park will be showing all the tournament’s matches.
📍Malasaña and Gran Vía: A hub with dozens of sports bars. It’s worth remembering that after Spain’s matches, the large-scale celebrations move straight onto the streets and the famous Plaza Mayor.
Lisbon
Portugal’s capital offers tourists excellent value for money.
📍Rossio Square and Eduardo VII Park: These locations will be among the largest viewing areas throughout the World Cup.
📍LX Factory: A creative space whose open-air venues will be transformed into stylish fan zones.
📍Bairro Alto, Cais do Sodré and Alfama: The main party districts, where crowds of fans will spill out of the bars onto the streets during matches.
Planning a trip to a fan zone?
Many fans are planning weekend trips to neighbouring cities or even countries to watch football in large fan zones with friends. To ensure your trip is nothing but a positive experience, it’s important to sort out your documents and safety arrangements in advance.
The Visit Ukraine portal reminds you of the main rules for travellers:
‘Green Card’ for your car. If you are travelling in your own car (for example, from Poland to Germany), you must have an international motor insurance policy. Without it, you face huge fines and a ban on continuing your journey. You can apply for a ‘Green Card’ online via the Visit Ukraine portal in just a few minutes. The policy will be sent to your email and will take effect immediately.
Travel insurance. Anything can happen in a crowd at the fan zone or on the road. Medical care in Europe is expensive, so having reliable insurance covering sports injuries and emergencies is your guarantee of peace of mind. Choose a suitable policy in the ‘Insurance’ section on our website.
Tickets or transfers. Don’t want to get behind the wheel after the match? Book tickets for comfortable coaches or trains between European cities directly through the Visit Ukraine service. If you prefer comfort, you can book a transfer on our portal. We offer a convenient search function and payment with no hidden fees.
Reminder! Phenomenal success for Ukrainian tennis in Paris! For the first time ever, four of our players have reached the round of 32 at Roland Garros 2026, setting an all-time record. Starodubtseva’s hard-fought victory over the world number two came as a real shock. Find out the details of this historic result.
