Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Poland has kindly accepted hundreds of thousands of refugees from Ukraine. Find out in more detail whether the level of Polish solidarity with Ukrainians and the desire to help remains as high as it was more than a year ago
Poland has been actively supporting Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale invasion. Currently, about 2 million Ukrainians live in the country, most of the families have children. The Polish government also provides military and humanitarian support to Ukraine.
We will remind you how the war changed the portrait of Ukrainians living in Poland, we told earlier.
The research company Pollster Research Institute conducted a new survey to find out how the level of support for Ukrainians has changed among Poles.
What part of respondents believes that Polish aid to Ukraine should be continued? Let's talk further.
Do the Poles agree to continue supporting Ukraine?
To whether to continue helping Ukrainians, 65% of respondents answered "Yes" and 35% - "No". The level of solidarity of Poles remains high - this indicates that a third of Poles are ready to continue to support Ukrainians and consider the appropriate policy of the government to be acceptable.
1,006 adult respondents took part in the study, the survey was conducted on May 30 and 31.

How does Poland help Ukraine?
According to the Polish Economic Institute, the Poles have already spent about 10 billion zlotys on helping Ukrainians, and the Polish government - 15.9 billion zlotys. The amount of aid can be about 1% of Poland's GDP. In terms of military aid to Ukraine, Poland is second only to the United States.
In turn, the Poles note that Ukrainians often thank them and the Polish authorities. This tendency persists both in personal contacts and in questionnaires filled out by refugees.
It is also worth noting that over the past six months, the mood of Ukrainian refugees in Poland has changed significantly. In particular, the number of Ukrainians who do not plan to return home has doubled.
