However, when entering, remember that there is a war going on in Ukraine. Currently, active hostilities are taking place only in the southern and eastern regions, but the threat of enemy missile attacks remains throughout the country.

Please note! Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the air alert in Kyiv alone has lasted more than 1200 hours. Who can take out insurance?

The insurance policy applies to foreign citizens, citizens of another state, and stateless persons (except for citizens of the aggressor country). There are no age restrictions: minors and people over 70 can buy insurance.

What risks does the insurance cover?

1. Diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19, including the cost of compulsory observation. Currently, there are no restrictions on coronavirus infection in Ukraine, but in case of illness, the insured person will be able to receive diagnosis, treatment and other necessary medical services in the areas covered by the policy.

2. Outpatient treatment (visit to a doctor, consultation, examination, etc.), medicines (prescribed by a doctor) and hospitalization (stay in an intensive care unit, intensive care unit, purchase of medicines, etc.) 

3. Emergency dental care. In particular, in case of acute toothache that requires emergency dental care for medical reasons (assistance is provided within the established limits).

4. Emergency obstetric care. Such assistance is provided on medical grounds in case of a threat to the life and health of the insured person, but provided that the gestation period is up to 29 weeks.

5. Repatriation of the insured person (or his/her body in case of death) from the place of stay to the place of his/her permanent residence.
6. Accidents, injuries and deaths that may occur as a result of active or passive war risks or terrorist acts.

It should be understood that there are currently few insurance companies that cover risks related to hostilities and war. Moreover, any foreign insurance automatically terminates upon crossing the Ukrainian border as long as martial law is in effect in the country. Take out a policy in order to receive financial compensation in the event of an insured event.

What is the indemnity amount?

Currently, there are two types of policies available to customers, which differ in the amount of insurance indemnity:

▶︎ Insurance policy with coverage of UAH 100,000;

▶︎ Insurance policy with a coverage of EUR 30,000.

Insurance policy coverage areas

The insurance policy is valid on the territory of Ukraine except for the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as the territories of direct combat operations (front line).

Insurance policy validity period

The insurance contract shall enter into force upon payment of the insurance premium in full, but not before the date and time of crossing the state border of Ukraine. You choose the duration of the policy - it depends on the number of days of your stay in Ukraine.
