There will be a new shuttle service between Ukraine and Moldova, which will connect Odessa and the airport in Chisinau. Find out how much a ticket will cost and what the schedule will be
Ukraine is launching an air shuttle service from Odesa to Chisinau Airport (Moldova). It will start running on a regular basis this week. Here's how much the route costs and how it will differ.
As you know, the demand for the Odesa-Chisinau route is quite high, as during martial law, Ukrainian airspace is closed, and citizens have to fly from neighbouring countries, including Moldova.
By the way, before travelling abroad, many citizens try to protect themselves from unforeseen situations by taking out travel insurance. This document gives them confidence that in the event of an illness or other situation that could harm their health, they will receive guaranteed assistance and coverage of the insured event. Insurance options are available on our website.
When does the air transfer start and how much will it cost?
The new bus will start running from Odesa to the airport of the Moldovan capital on 1 March. However, the first test run was already carried out on 22 February.
Boarding the bus will take place from Starosinnaya Square opposite the Odesa railway station. The ticket price will be UAH 800, but military personnel and their family members (spouses and children), people with disabilities, war veterans, and combatants will be entitled to a 50% discount.
The schedule is as follows:
• 08:00 Odesa (Starosinnaya Bus Station) - Chisinau Airport;
• 19:00 Chisinau Airport - Odesa (Starosinnaya Bus Station).
Although the timetable does not indicate the journey time, the Odesa Regional Military Administration assures that passengers will be able to reach Chisinau in four hours.

How will registration take place?
To board this bus, citizens will have to pre-register on the website of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, including providing relevant information about themselves and the flight, and "attaching" a plane ticket.
This data will be provided to border guards and customs officers of both countries before the transfer arrives at the border. And a certain check will be done before the bus arrives at the checkpoint.
Both Ukrainians and citizens of other countries will be able to use the transfer, and we recommend that they prepare an appropriate insurance policy in advance before entering Ukraine. Given the current situation in the country, it is necessary to think not just about insurance, but about a document that covers military risks. Such a policy will provide protection against ordinary medical expenses, including treatment and diagnostics, as well as against injuries and accidents arising from military operations, both direct and indirect. You can take out an insurance policy covering military risks on our portal by following this link.
It is worth noting that you can also use the services of other carriers to travel abroad or enter Ukraine. You can quickly and easily buy a ticket for any journey here.
