Bulgaria
Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts have been a popular vacation destination for over 100 years. The country combines mountains and the sea, which gives travelers truly vivid emotions. Add to this the wonderful traditional dishes, interesting local customs and the hospitality of the people - all the ingredients of a perfect holiday in one place.
The good news is that the local coast is just perfect for a vacation with children - near the shore the entrance is shallow, and the sea is calm, clean and clear.
Black Sea resorts of Bulgaria
📍 Burgas is the central city and a major transport hub of the southern coast. Most tourists are attracted here by the well-maintained Sea Gardens overlooking the beach, as well as the rusty pier in the eastern part of the city. The pedestrian center of the city, along which chic boutiques, bars and cafes are located, is suitable for an evening walk.
📍 Nessebar is known for its magnificent medieval churches, nineteenth-century wooden architecture and labyrinthine cobbled streets. The old town is located 35 km northeast of Burgas. It was founded by Greek colonists and developed into a thriving port during the Byzantine era before being captured by the Ottomans. The rich history of Nessebar is its calling card. Tourists can relax here on several small beaches or take a bus to Sunny Beach.
📍 Sozopol is a busy fishing port and resort, which is especially popular among Eastern European tourists. The city owes its charm to its architecture: old wooden houses and cobbled streets. You can relax by the sea on one of the local beaches.
Best time to visit
The peak season is July, but this month can be quite hot (30ºC) and the beaches and hotels are crowded with tourists. Therefore, the best time to relax is the second half of June, the end of August or the beginning of September, when the sea is still warm and the air temperature is not too high.
How to get from Ukraine to Bulgaria?
✅ The best option is to travel to Bulgaria by bus, because it is cheap (the approximate cost of a ticket is 70 euros one way) and quite fast. For example, the road to Bulgaria from Lviv, on average, lasts from 21 to 24 hours. The decisive factor here will be the speed of border crossing, namely the presence or absence of a queue in front of you at the checkpoint.
✅ There is no direct train from Ukraine to Bulgaria. You can get from Kyiv to Bulgaria by train only with transfers. For example, through Chisinau and Bucharest.
✅ Also, many tourists prefer to travel by their own car - the distance from the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia to Kyiv is 1300 km. The route will pass through Romania and Moldova. Such a trip, taking into account the price of gasoline, can cost from 200 to 300 euros.
Romania
Romania boasts approximately 245 kilometers of coastline with almost 150 kilometers of sandy beaches and 15 beach resorts that attract local and foreign tourists during the summer season.

📍 Mamaia is known for its soft sandy beaches, luxury hotels, exclusive restaurants and lively nightlife; the resort is considered the most popular destination for summer vacations due to its size, variety and offers for foreign tourists.
📍 Vama-Veke is a traditional student resort with a relaxed atmosphere, numerous bars, nightclubs and unpretentious rooms.

The best time to visit the Romanian Black Sea coast is from May 1 to the end of September, when the summer season officially opens, meaning most hotels and restaurants are open. Peak season from June 15 to August 30.
How to get from Ukraine to Romania?
✅ You can get to Romania by buses that depart from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Uzhgorod and arrive in Bucharest, Iasi, Suceava and many other Romanian cities.
✅ The train journey will include a transfer in Chisinau (Moldova).
✅ By own car - the distance from Kyiv to the Romanian resorts is about 1000 km, the travel time is 12-15 hours, the approximate cost of the trip, taking into account the price of gasoline, is 150-250 euros.

Turkey
The Black Sea coast is located in the northeastern part of Turkey. The area is characterized by lush forests, hills and picturesque beaches. The Black Sea coast has long been a popular destination for travelers looking for unique experiences in Turkey. As a former part of the Ottoman Empire, the region has a pretty fantastic history and rich cultural heritage.

📍 The entire Black Sea coast of Turkey is filled with attractive villages and deserted beaches. Most tourists prefer to rest on the coast, located west of the stunning city of Sinop or towards the Byzantine-Genoese harbor of Amasra.

How to get from Ukraine to Turkey?
There are two ways to get to Turkey: by bus or by plane from the airports of neighboring countries. The cheapest way to get there is a direct bus from Ukraine to Istanbul.
✅ The choice of air route depends on the starting point of the trip. Choose the airport closest to your city in one of the EU countries and buy tickets to Turkey from where.
✅ The easiest way to get to the Black Sea coast from Istanbul is by bus or train. There are several bus companies that offer direct routes from Istanbul to cities such as Trabzon and Rize along the coast. The journey takes about 10 hours and tickets can be purchased online or at any major bus station in Istanbul. Similar routes depart from other cities in Turkey.
Georgia
Georgia's Black Sea coast provides the perfect combination of recreation, adventure, and wellness. Resorts are suitable for family holidays, romantic trips or independent vacations.
Most of Georgia's coastline is rocky, so it's important to have appropriate footwear.
In addition to health, Georgia impresses tourists with its rich culture, beautiful architecture, music, hospitable local population and delicious cuisine.

📍 There are picturesque Black Sea resorts in Adjara - Batumi, Kvariati, Sarpi, Gonio, Tsikhisdziri, Green Cape and Kobuleti. How to get from Ukraine to Georgia?
✅ You can get to Georgia by flight, for this you need to buy tickets from one of the airports in the EU closest to the Ukrainian border.
🔸 Poland-Georgia. The flight from Poland to Georgian cities will take three hours on average. From Warsaw, Gdansk and Krakow you can fly to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi.
🔸 Moldova-Georgia. There are flights from Chisinau to Batumi and Tbilisi.
🔸 Hungary-Georgia. Low-cost carriers, including Wizz Air, operate flights from Hungary. Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi are easily accessible from Budapest.
✅ From July 2, 2024, ferry service between Ukraine and Georgia will be resumed, so it will be possible to get to the country by water.
