A road traffic accident is always a stressful situation for any driver, especially if you are in another country. It is important for foreigners involved in an accident in Ukraine to know what steps to take to protect their rights and minimise the consequences. We will tell you how to act in such situations.

What to do in the event of an accident?

If you are involved in a road accident in Ukraine, follow these steps:

1. Stop the car and switch on the emergency alarm.

2. Call the police by calling 102 to record the circumstances of the incident.

3. Take a photo of the accident scene and exchange contacts with the other parties involved.

4. Contact the insurance company. Report the incident and provide all necessary documents.

Insurance is mandatory!

It should be noted that car insurance in Ukraine is a mandatory item for any driver. Therefore, we recommend taking out an insurance policy when entering this country. However, due to the ongoing military operations in Ukraine, you should consider a broader insurance package than the basic CTP.

To protect your car in unforeseen situations, such as road accidents, actions of third parties or natural phenomena, we recommend taking out Mini Hull insurance.
