Reasons for the changes

The construction of the European gauge railway is an important infrastructure project aimed at improving international rail traffic between Ukraine and the countries of the European Union. The new route will speed up the transportation of passengers and goods, as well as reduce border crossing time.

To carry out the necessary work, the railroad is reconstructing and modernizing a number of facilities, including stations, tracks, and signal systems.

New train schedule

Due to the construction of the European gauge, some trains will change their routes or run to alternative stations.

✅ Trains to/from Mukachevo station (March 31 - July 31):

No. 17/18 Kharkiv - Uzhhorod

No. 38/37 Odesa - Uzhhorod

No. 45/46 Kharkiv - Uzhhorod

No. 368/367 Kovel/Lutsk - Uzhhorod

It is noted that during this period, the builders will carry out a set of modernization measures, in particular:

🔹 Reconstruction of railway stations and infrastructure:

Renovation of the neck of the Chop station

Overhaul of tracks at the stations Strumkivka and Chop

🔹 Construction of a new European gauge:

Dismantling of the wide gauge on the Chop - Strumkivka section

Laying of 8.3 km of new European standard track

🔹 Modernization of the contact network and communication systems:

Installation of about 10 km of contact suspension and carrier wire

Installation of signaling and communication devices along the entire 22-kilometer section

Implementation of dispatching centralization

🔹 Repair and renovation of station facilities:

Renovation of more than 30 buildings and structures, including passenger pavilions, platforms and premises of the crossing guards

Repair of 33 turnouts

Renewal of about 13 km of railroad tracks

gestellte Fragen
How long can I return a train ticket?
The refund amount depends on the time when the ticket was handed in. Thus, if it is more than a day before the train departure: - more than a day, the full cost of the ticket and reserved seat is refunded; - from 24 to 6 hours - the full cost of the ticket and 50% of the reserved seat cost; - less than 6 hours - only the full cost of the ticket. If a person returns a ticket within an hour after the train departure, only 10% of the ticket price is refunded (you can return the ticket only at the station ticket office). Tickets are not refundable if more than an hour has passed since the train departure. The only exceptions are emergency cases, and to get a refund you need to issue a special ‘claim ticket return’.
