Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air is celebrating its 22nd anniversary in style. To mark the occasion, the airline has launched a major promotion, putting one million cheap tickets on sale for no more than €22.

When does the Wizz Air promotion end and for which dates should tickets be purchased

This grand anniversary sale has a strict time limit — tickets at the reduced price can be purchased only until midnight on 18 May. Passengers wishing to take advantage of the offer should hurry to book.

The promotional fares apply to flights scheduled for the period from 19 May to 31 October 2026. This timeframe covers the entire summer holiday season and the warm European autumn, making the promotion ideal for planning your holiday.

Where to fly cheaply: popular Wizz Air routes

For travellers, particularly those from Ukraine, the most convenient options remain flights from airports in neighbouring European countries. The airline offers a wide range of budget destinations from Poland, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia and Hungary.

The low-cost carrier’s pricing policy allows you to choose a European resort to suit every taste. The cheapest flights start from €13 — for this price, you can fly from Suceava in Romania to Bologna (Italy). Tickets from Bratislava to Alicante in Spain cost from €15, and you can fly to Milan from Warsaw or Chișinău for just €16.

For those who prefer northern landscapes or the Balkans, flights from Warsaw to Bergen (Norway) and from Kraków to Tirana (Albania) are available from €21. And a flight from the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to historic Athens will cost exactly €22.

Wizz Air hand luggage rules: what’s included in the ticket

When buying promotional tickets, it is important to bear in mind the strict rules of European low-cost airlines to avoid unexpected costs at the airport. The base price of a promotional ticket (up to €22) includes only one piece of small hand luggage.

Free baggage requirements:

• Bag type: rucksack, handbag/sports bag or compact suitcase;
• Maximum dimensions: 40 x 30 x 20 cm (the item must fit freely under the seat in front);
• Maximum weight: up to 10 kilograms.

• Important note: The advertised ticket price does not include the airline’s mandatory administrative fee, which is calculated and paid separately during the booking process. Any large luggage (both hand luggage and checked-in) also requires a separate surcharge.
