Traditionally, Google summarizes the results of the year and compiles a ranking of the most popular search queries of Ukrainians. This rating is based on which queries have grown in popularity the most over the year. This clearly demonstrates search trends and the most interesting topics in society. Among the most common queries are “blackout schedule”, “Euro 2024”, “Syrsky”, “Olympic Games 2024” and “Suja”.

After analyzing the popularity of queries in different categories, we identified the topics that were of most interest to Ukrainian users in 2024.

The most popular queries of the year

“Power outage schedule” became the most popular search query in Ukraine. Let's take a closer look at the top queries of this year:

This year, Ukrainian users actively searched for the meaning of common abbreviations, as well as some popular words:

In the category “Personality”, the leader among the queries was the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi. Ukrainians were also actively interested in the following personalities:

- Oleksandr Syrskyi;

- Oleksandr Usyk;

- Donald Trump;

- Sergey Lavrov;

- Kamala Harris;

- Mike Tyson;

- Nikolai Tishchenko;

- Pavel Durov;

- Klavdiya Petrovna;

- Sonia Morozyuk.

As for the losses of 2024, Ukrainians showed the greatest interest in the following personalities:

- Iryna Farion;

- Alexei Navalny;

In this category, the most popular film was the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol. The following films also took leading positions:
